Drive Responsibly This Holiday Season and Every Trip, Every Time

I suggest you also check the air in your spare tire and make sure you have a functional car jack. A couple of road flares are handy as well as a reflector vest and a flash light. Also check your car's five vital fluids: engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, power steering oil and windshield washer fluid. I imagine everyone has a shovel and bag of salt ready for winter in case you get stuck. And, if you want to be prepared for the unforeseen accident, put a disposable camera in your glove box. Of course, everyone will have their cell phone ready and charged. Nothing like being ready.

Take it from a seasoned traveler.

MEMO: From Ron Klein-Listing on the NBCCH WebPages

Your are invited to list your practice in the "Find a Hypnotherapist" pages of the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists web site. The listing is FREE. To view the way the listings are set up, CLICK HERE . Send me your info in two paragraphs (plain text in the body of your email). I'll format it into two columns for you.

For those of you who are currently listed, and have a web site of your own, please cross-link back to the NBCCH web site. Why am I asking you to link back to NBCCH? Aah.. good question. It's a bit like, "you scratch my back I will scratch yours". However, there is an even more important reason. The more links that point to the NBCCH web site, the higher the ranking in the search engines. That means more traffic to the NBCCH web site, and the more likely people will find our listed hypnotherapists.

NOTE: A small number of NBCCHers who are listed in the "Find a Hypnotherapist" pages have not renewed for 2007. 2007 renewal reminder invoices are going in the mail this week. Sandy Silbermann, my deputy, will be checking for those people who are listed and do not renew by May 31st, and will remove their listings from the NBCCH web site. If you want to renew right now, you can CLICK HERE to get the renewal form as a PDF file. You can then print it (you'll need Adobe Reader), and mail or fax it to the NBCCH office.

MEMO: From Ron Klein

As you will see, INTERLINK BLOG newsletter is no longer password protected. I received a number of requests to make it easier to get to the site of the INTERLINK BLOG. I suggest that you save the address for this BLOG to your favorites and add interlinkonline@gmail.com to your list of desired incoming email addresses. This is the address NBCCH is using to transmit the INTERLINK BLOG newsletter.

Secondly, I'd like to remind you that you can be listed on the NBCCH WebPages, by state, free of charge. Go to the NBCCH WebPages, www.natboard.com, and note how the listings for "Find a Hypnotherapist" are organized. Send me your info, in 2 paragraphs, and I'll publish your listing. Practitioners who are listed, tell me they receive lots of calls from prospective clients. Please send your info in plain text as part of the body of your email to me.

Finally, a few NBCCHers have yet to renew for 2007. Please do so ASAP. CLICK HERE to open and print the 2007 renewal form.

Help - Please!

We need your feedback on the INTERLINK newsletter. Do you have ideas about how the NBCCH newsletter staff can improve the INTERLINK? Also, if you have suggestions about how you'd like NBCCH to serve you better, let us know by clicking the Comments or Contact the Editor link on the right hand column on the main page.

Secondly, please send articles, case studies, news about hypnotherapy, workshop and book reviews, or any other items of interest you think your colleages might find useful. As you can see, the INTERLINK has lots of categories, and we can add more if need be.

Last, when you attend hypnotherapy workshops, or talk to colleagues who have training in clinical hypnotherapy, suggest they apply to become NBCCH certified.

Ron Klein, Executive Director-Administration

In the late 1980's, a substantial number of mental health professionals expressed an interest in forming a national certifying Board for clinical hypnotherapy. Their desire was to formulate an organization that would promulgate appropriate standards for the field, and be inclusive of the broadest range of mental health professionals who practice clinical hypnotherapy. As a result, The National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists was formed.

I was invited to participate by bringing my experience in administration, marketing, and database management to the endeavor. Since the inception of NBCCH in 1991, I have helped establish the office, set up and formulate administrative procedures, consulted with an outside contractor to design computerized data management, and hired staff.

Now that the computerized data system is in place, the staff can respond more quickly to your and other inquiries. Applications are presently being processed in a timely fashion. Our administrative goal is to handle new applications on the same day they are received.

My primary role for NBCCH is to keep the office running smoothly and efficiently. While your inquiries relative to certification matters should be directed to Judith Pearson, Ph.D., Executive Director-Certification, I will be more than happy to help if you have questions concerning application and renewal fees, the administrative status of your file, replacement certificates, etc.

As you can see, we have established the Interlink Newsletter as a blog on the internet. New entries will be added as we receive them from contributors. Please log on frequently to read what's new.
